Beauty
Before a work of art manifests in a form that can be enjoyed by others it first begins to take shape inwardly, in the mind of the artist. It starts as a spark, an idea, a glimpse of the possibilities. In its most pure and infantile form, art is potential that is unleashed and unrefined.
Each of us is art in its most pure form. We are an ocean of potential, a galaxy of possibilities. And so, we should pursue ourselves with the mind and the heart of an artist. We should work on ourselves for however long it takes to reveal the masterpiece within. Start, stop, start over. We may end up something entirely different than what was initially envisioned, and that’s okay. It’s an imperfect process, but only through the process can we create and shape ourselves. Only through the process do we learn that when art truly takes form we discover beauty in unexpected ways.
When art takes form we discover beauty in unexpected ways. Embrace your beauty. Your bright and muted colors. Your smooth planes and jagged edges. Your high, soaring notes and low baritone ones. All of them work together to reveal a wonderful creation - a true work of art.
